Judi Phelps, president and instructor at On Guard Defense, will discuss how to recognize potential threats and avoid dangerous situations. She will also discuss how to use barriers, concealment and different forms of cover. Participants only need attend one of the seminars. Escape Room Test your skills with a group of friends to see if you can solve the mystery of what happened to the antique sapphire ring. Traveling Exhibit Focuses On Science The Main Library is hosting interactive, museum-quality exhibits for the next year that focus on biodiversity and science learning. With the theme “Natural Wonders,” displays will include sea creatures, invaders and more. The Traveling Museum Exhibit project was created through a partnership between The Ohio State University’s Museum of Biological Diversity (OSUMBD) and the Grandview Heights Public Library (GHPL). It is funded through a federal Institute of Museum and Library Service (IMLS) LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio. The exhibits combine wonder, engagement, and learning with all-in-one, interactive mobile kiosks for all ages and feature: artifacts and specimens; engaging, educational visuals; craft table with take-home family activity; and books available for checkout.
