Loan Periods & Item Limits Borrowing items is free! When you return materials on time, others can enjoy them, too. Patrons in good standing (owing $10.00 or less) may check out the following: 21-Day Loan Period Books (limit 100) Audiobooks (limit 20) Music CDs (limit 10) Mobile Hotspots (18+, limit 1) Puzzles & Games (limit 2) STEAM Kits (limit 2) Memory Care Kits (limit 2) 7-Day Loan Period DVDs/Blu-rays (limit 10) Magazines (limit 10) Video Games (limit 2) Renewals and Overdue Fines Most items automatically renew when due, unless requested by other patrons. Maximum number of renewals is determined by the library that owns the item. The library does not charge daily overdue fines. Lost, Stolen, or Missing Items & Cards Patrons are responsible for all materials checked out on their cards. Patrons are billed replacement fees for items long overdue, including missing, lost, or damaged materials. Lost cards can be replaced for $1.00. How to Get a Library Card Any Ohio resident may get a Pickaway County Library card with proof of current address. Acceptable proof includes ID, utility bill, or rent/lease/ mortgage agreement. Cards for Children 17 and Under There is no minimum age to get a library card. Children must have a parent or guardian present with one of the above mentioned items to receive a card. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children’s cards and all borrowed items. Parents may allow permission for a child to check out audio-visual materials. I Forgot My Library Card or PIN If you forget your library card, please see a library staff member to borrow materials with a current ID or other verification method. Your PIN can be reset with a library staff member or via your online account. You can also email info@pickawaylib.org or call (740)477-1644 for help with your card number or resetting your PIN. Cozy Mystery Week for Teens, Adults, & Families Love is in the air... and in the margins at Main Library! Someone is leaving mysterious graffiti in our library books, and we need your help to catch the culprit.
